ColourTile

ColourTile is a pressed-steel tile made to look like concrete or clay, coated in the same colour range as Colorsteel. Older ones were nailed without washers and, like all steel roofs, those fixings fail over time.

Our process

How we put it right

  1. 01
    Rescrew bottom course
    50mm Tekscrews with hydrophilic seals replace the old nails.
  2. 02
    Ridge & barge screws
    Nails swapped for washered screws to suit the roof profile.
  3. 03
    Flashing upgrades
    Old lead upgraded to backtray and new Dektite.
  4. 04
    Wash & surface strip
    Dirt, organic growth and loose paint stripped back.
  5. 05
    Rust treatment & prime
    Exposed rust treated, then primed for adhesion.
  6. 06
    Two topcoats
    Two colour coats for around 14 years of protection.
